A performance of the Kiyobushi, an Akita min'yō, with lyrics. 秋田県民謡の喜代節の演奏と歌詞、簡単な説明です。
--
Meaning of the lyrics:
Hanging on the wall is a scroll. It depicts the Seven Lucky Gods.
In the garden there are pine trees and bamboos [these symbolize good fortune], and cranes and turtles [these symbolize longevity] are playing gracefully here.
The crane's call is a celebratory sound. The first song I will sing this year is about Urashima Tarō.
I take out a silver cup and pour the sake from a golden sake bottle like a spring.
I wish you all a long life and want everyone to drink it.
--
Description:
Kiyobushi is a song performed during auspicious celebrations. It is also known by the alternate name Zakkurabushi. It originated in Semboku District, Akita Prefecture.
--
Vocalist: Suzuki Toshitsugu
Audio/image editor: Suzuki Shingo
